MSS network extended

With some major effort of Ewald Brückl and Peter Carniel, the MSS network has been extended by 20 stations. It now consists of 45 stations sending seismic data in near real-time.

The new MSS units have been constructed by the HTBLuVA Wiener Neustadt, I was in charge of the software development and the creation of the operation system images for the Raspberry Pi included in the MSS recorders.

Except some difficulties at stations with a poor wireless LAN connection, the transmission of the data to the MSS data server is working reliable. Currently, I’m working on the near real-time visualization of the data on our homepage www.macroseismicsensor.at using websockets and Javascript.
