Data flow from Reftek recorders to seedlink server is working

TuSeisNet data is flowing

The first major task of the TuSeisNet near real-time data flow reorganization is working. The data finds its way from the Reftek recorders to a seedlink server.

Today I have finished a first major milestone of the reorganization of the TuSeisNet near real-time dataflow. The data now finds its way from a test Reftek data recorder to the server at the Vienna University of technology where it is stored and re-transmitted using a Seedlink server. The next step will be to redirect the recorders of the existing TuSeisNet from the old server to the new one.

The Reftek recorders are connected to the internet with UMTS routes and they send the data over a VPN network to the data acquisition server. There they are handled with the Reftek proprietary data collection server rtpd. From the rtpd server, they are sent to the Earthworm data processing chain which sends the data to a ringserver Seedlink server.
